Gravity’s Pull CHardonnay

Gravity’s Pull is a bottle that’s practically defined Championship Bottle—we’ve made it since our first vintage and it’s special nature is a reflection of the old, ungrafted vines of Dion Vineyard.

Dion is a hidden gem in the Willamette Valley, giving wines that balance the bright freshness of its climate with the power inherent in its unique loess soils and old vines.

Inspired by Burgundy and the great Chardonnays of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, this wine is fermented with native yeasts in older oak barrels. It matures there undisturbed for eleven months until we rack it into stainless steel for a final six months of elevage before bottling unfined and unfiltered.

Showing exceptional cut and drive, and combining aromas of bright, yet exotic, fruit with plenty of stony, savory flavors and a palate of minerality etched with citrus zest and patina-ed with orchard fruit, we think Gravity’s Pull is a prime example of why serious drinkers should be looking for Chardonnay from this part of Oregon.
